The following fields can be edited on the Cyphercast Configuration Edit page:
Edit Field Description
ECM/EMM IP
Address
Enter the valid multicast IP address in dotted decimal notation. This address and the UDP Port
are configured for receiving the ECM/EMM data, and must match the configuration of the
Cyphercast Gygacrypt head end.
EMM UDP Port Enter a valid UDP port number for EMM stream. The ECM port number cannot be entered as it
is always 1 more than the EMM port number. Note this port number is required and must
match the Cyphercast
Gygacrypt head end configuration.
ECM input Interface Select the interface (eth0, eth1 or sat0) on which the receiver will receive the ECM/EMM data.
Front Panel LED Indications
When the Cyphercast or Softcell option is installed and enabled, certain indicators on the front panel will behave
differently and provide additional status information, as follows:
Indicator Description
Lock For receivers with the Softcell option enabled and using either of the Ethernet ports as the
transport stream source, the LOCK led will be off.
OPTIONS Purpose: provides status of the Cyphercast / Softcell option.
Colour: off/green, where:
Solid Green – the Cyphercast or Softcell option is installed and enabled.
Flashing Off/Green – EMM/ECM packets are being received.
Off – the Cyphercast or Softcell option is installed or enabled.
NOTE:
The PID that
carries the
ECM/EMM data
is of type Net
PID (see
section on PIDs
and Ports). In
order to receive
the data, you
must configure
the Net PID
first.
NOTE:
When you Send
Update with the
new Cyphercast
Configuration,
the multicast
ECM/EMM
stream
configured here
becomes a non-
editable static
route in the
static routing
table, with the
interface as
sat0.
