These release notes provide a list of new features, known issues, and other
important last-minute information applicable to using Matrox Mtx.utils version
7.1. This information supplements the Matrox MXO2 Installation and User
Guide, which is provided in PDF format in the Matrox MXO2 Support section of
our website at www.matrox.com/video/support.

What’s new in this release?
Matrox Mtx.utils 7.1 provides the following new features for Matrox MXO2
products:
• Unified driver support for Adobe and Avid editing applications.
• Support for Adobe CS6 6.0.3.
• Support for Avid Media Composer 6.0.3 and 6.5, Symphony 6.0.3 and 6.5,
and NewsCutter 10.0.3 and 10.5.
• Support for recording voice-overs using Adobe Premiere Pro.
• Support for audio punch-in using Avid editing applications.
• WYSIWYG support for the following:
• Adobe After Effects 11.0.2 and Photoshop 13.0.1.
• eyeon Fusion 6.4.
• Autodesk 3ds Max 2013.
• Beta support for Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit) operating systems. For
known issues with using Windows 8, see “Windows 8 (beta support only)”
on page 11.
• Fixes and stability improvements.
Installing this release
¡ Important Check the software download section of the Matrox MXO2
Support website to see which video editing applications are supported with this
release. If you have Matrox software for MXO2 installed with an earlier
supported version of your video editing application, you must uninstall your
Matrox software before upgrading your video editing software.
