If you’re connecting an analog monitor to
your unit, connect your monitor cable to the
VGA
connector on your encoder unit.
5 Connect your analog audio
output (optional)
Connect your analog audio output device
(such as speakers) to the
Line Out
()
connector on your encoder unit.
6 Connect your RS232 device
(optional)
Connect the cable from your RS232 control
device to the
RS232
connector (female DE9)
on your encoder unit. Use a straight through
serial cable to connect your RS232 control
device to your encoder.
If your RS232 control device has a DB25
connector, use a DE9 (also known to as a
DB9) to DB25 converter (sold separately) to
connect it to your encoder.
Note:
To connect your monitor to this connector, you need a shielded HDMI cable.
If the video output of your unit uses a display resolution higher than 720p60, we
recommend using a certified high-speed HDMI cable.
Note:
In PowerStream, while your encoder
is set to
Pass through
as the local output
method, the VGA connector is disabled.

only outputs audio received by the
Line In
