Cause You may be using a 16-bit color palette.

Solution Try using a 32-bit color palette instead.
Problem Under Windows Server 2008/2003, PowerDesk feature isn’t available

Cause By default, Windows Server disables hardware acceleration. Some PowerDesk features
require hardware acceleration to be enabled.

Solution Set the hardware acceleration for each display to Full .
Windows Server 2008/2008 R2 –
1 Right-click your Windows desktop background, then click Screen resolution Æ
Advanced settings Æ Troubleshoot Æ Change settings .
2 Set the Hardware acceleration slider to Full .
Windows Server 2003 –
1 Right-click your Windows desktop background, then click Properties Æ Settings Æ
Advanced Æ Troubleshoot .
2 Set the Hardware acceleration slider to Full .
If you have multiple displays, choose a display before clicking Advanced or Advanced
settings

Problem Mouse pointer flickers or disappears when it’s over a video window

Cause You may be using a customized mouse pointer. Windows draws customized mouse pointers
in a way that may cause them to flicker or disappear while they’re over a video window.

Solution Windows 7/Vista/XP – Use default Windows mouse pointers:
1 Windows 7/Vista – Click Start Æ Settings * Æ Control Panel Æ Hardware and Sound * Æ
Mouse (double-click*).
(* Depending on your version and configuration of Windows, this part of the step may
not be necessary.)
Windows XP – Click Start Æ Settings * Æ Control Panel Æ Printers and Other Hardware *
Æ Mouse (double-click*).
(* Depending on your version and configuration of Windows, this part of the step may
not be necessary.)
2 Click the Pointers tab.
3 In the Scheme box, select (or reselect) “ (None) ”, t h e n c l i c k OK .
