2 Depending on your device, double-click Human Interface Device , Keyboard , or Mice
and other pointing devices
to expand it, then double-click the name of your device.
3 Click Driver Æ Enable Æ Yes .
4 Click OK , then close the Device Manager dialog box.
Windows XP –
1 Click Start Æ Settings * Æ Control Panel Æ Performance and Maintenance * Æ System
(double-click*)
Æ Hardware Æ Device Manager .

Problem System doesn’t wake from sleep/standby mode

Cause You may be using a sleep mode that doesn’t support wake-from-sleep from a remote USB
keyboard.

Solution Make sure your system BIOS is set to use Save to RAM (or S3) stand-by mode. For more
information on setting up your BIOS, see your system manual.
Problem Matrox PowerDesk won’t start

Cause Your built-in graphics hardware may still be enabled.

Solution Make sure any graphics hardware is disabled in your system BIOS. For more information on
how to access your system BIOS, see your system manual.

Cause The installation of a program using a mirror driver may have modified your Matrox software
files.

Solution Reinstall the programs in the proper sequence.
1 Uninstall the program using the mirror driver.
2 Reinstall your Matrox software.
3 Reinstall the program using the mirror driver.
