2 Connect your unit to your
interface card
To connect your Extio unit to your interface
card, you need an LC-LC optical cable (sold
separately).
Connect one end of your optical cable to the
optical connector of your interface card.
Connect the other end of your optical cable
to the optical connector labeled
Port 1 on
your unit. Make sure your connectors are
properly connected.
When connecting your fiber optic cable,
make sure the connector on one end of your
fiber optic cable attached to the transmitter
side of a transceiver is connected on the
other end of the cable to the receiver side of
the other transceiver.
WA R N I NG : Disconnecting your optical
cables while your computer is turned on
will cause your operating system, your
program, and your unit to stop
responding.
