90 Matrix SETU ATA211 System Manual
The Static Routing Table in SETU ATA211 resolves this. The Static Routing Table defines the appropriate Gateway
Address (or Routers LAN Address) where the IP packets are to be sent.
This Table makes it possible to route different types of outgoing calls (Peer to Peer or Proxy) made to different
subnets to the Gateway as per the called network.
In the Static Routing Table, you must configure:
The address of the final Destination where the call is to be made.
The Subnet Mask to be applied on the final destination address.
The Gateway Address where the IP packets are to be sent.
When SETU ATA211 sends packets, if the final destination IP Address and SETU ATA211 are not in the same
Subnet, the system will check the Static Routing Table.
If a perfect match is found, SETU ATA211 will start sending the IP packets to the corresponding Gateway Address
configured in the table.
If no match is found, SETU ATA211 will send the IP Packets to the default Gateway Address you configured in the
“Network Parameters” page.
To take the above example further, if SETU ATA211 connected in Network A makes an outgoing call to
192.168.2.0/ 24, the call will be routed to Frame Relay/ MPLS link.
If the SETU ATA211 makes an outgoing call to the SIP proxy server 59.162.252.82, the call will be routed from
router which connects the system to public IP network.
Thus, on the basis of the destination address, SETU ATA211 will route the calls for the specified network to a
specific gateway.
