8. Configure the Flash Timer, as per your requirement. The Flash timer signifies the time period for which the
loop current breaks. SETU ATA211 uses this event to activate various features such as Call Hold, Call
Transfer, etc. Default: 600 msec.
9. You may configure the Ring Cadence-OFF Timer for the FXO port to set OFF time for Ring cadence.
During an incoming call on the FXO port, if the CO gives ring with a long Ring OFF period, the system will
consider that the ring has been stopped, and it will stop ringing the FXS port, even though the incoming
call is still present.
To get correct indication, the ATA211 supports the Ring Cadence OFF timer on the FXO port so that ring
can continue, even for incoming calls with long Ring OFF period.
The range of the Ring Cadence OFF timer is from 1 to 9 seconds. Default: 4 seconds.
10. In the DTMF On Time field, set the time as per the CO network. The DTMF On Time is the time for which
the DTMF digit which is to be out dialed remains ON. Valid range: 70 msec to 200 msec. Default: 70 msec.
11. In the DTMF Off Time field, set the time for which system should wait before dialing the successive DTMF
digits so that the CO network can detect the dialed digits. The DTMF Off Time may be 100 or 150 or 200
milliseconds. Default: 100 milliseconds.
12. Configure the Pause Timer to add delay, while a call is being made from FXO Port. ATA adds some delay
before dialing out the number after FXO Port goes Off-hook. During this time, no digit is dialed by the ATA
on FXO Port. This is used when exchange takes some tome to detect that FXO Port is Off-hook. Valid
range: 1 to 9 sec. Default: 1 sec.
13. Configure the FXO Busy Wait Timer, if you want SETU ATA211 to wait before routing a call to a busy FXO
port.
When there is an incoming call on a SIP trunk to be routed to the FXO port, and the FXO port is busy, you
can set the FXO Busy Wait Timer. SETU ATA211 will wait for the duration of this timer to route the call.
When the FXO port is free, it routes the call to the FXO port. The range of this timer is 00 to 99 sec.
Default: 45 sec.
14. To improve quality of speech, keep the Echo Cancellation

check box enabled. Default: Enabled.
Also define the Tail Length depending on the length of the echo. Valid Range: 8 msec to 32 msec.
Default: 32 msec.
15. Select the appropriate AC Impedance according to the AC Impedance supported by the CO Network or
the PBX connected to the FXO port of SETU ATA211. You may select from the following impedance
options:
• 600 
• 900 
• 270  + (750  || 150 nF)
• 220  + (820  || 115 nF)
• 370  + (620  || 310 nF)
• 320  + (1050  || 230 nF)
• 350  + (1000  ||110 nF)
• 200  + (680  || 100 nF)
