3.5 UMTS-GSM Antenna Connector
The antenna connector allows the transmission of radio frequency (RF) signals between the modem and
an external customer-supplied antenna. The modem is fitted with a 50, FME male coaxial jack.
The external antenna must be matched properly to achieve best performance regarding radiated power,
DC-power consumption, modulation accuracy and harmonic suppression.
3.6. GPS antenna connector
The antenna connector allows transmission of radio frequency (RF) signals between the modem and an
external customer-supplied antenna. The modem is fitted with a 50, SMA female coaxial jack.
It is possible to connect 3.3v active or passive GPS antennas. In either case they must have 50 Ohm
impedance.
