Managing the License Manager Service
Removing the License Manager Service
There are several ways to remove the license manager service:
• Use the install.exe utility, specifying the -r flag. Ifthe name ofthe
license service is not MATLAB License Server, you must specify the name
using the - n flag, as follows:
install -e matiai)root\flexlm\lmgrd.exe -n my server -r

• Use the LMTOOLS Utility. Click the Remove Service button on the Config
Services tab. For more information, see "Using the FLEXnet Utilities
Graphical User Interface (LMTOOLS)" on page 3-12.
Starting and Stopping the License Manager
If you installed the license manager as a service, the license manager gets
started automatically at system boot time.
There are also several other ways to start and stop the license manager:
• Use the Windows Services control panel. See "Using the Windows Services
Control Panel" on page 3-16 for more information.
• Use the Imutil utility. See "Using the FLEXnet Command Line Utilities
(lmutil.exe)" on page 3-10 for more information.
• Use the LMTOOLS Utility. Click the Start Server or Stop Server button on
the Start/Stop/Reread tab. See "Using the FLEXnet Utilities Graphical
User Interface (LMTOOLS)" on page 3-12 for more information.
