Grid, Line Style
s, and Redrawing Plots
There are severa
l Style options that are common to all plot types. These
include the foll
owing:
• “Grid Lines” on p
age 12-19
• “Solid or Dashed
Lines” on page 12-19
• “Plot Redrawing
” on p a ge 1 2-19
Grid Lines
To toggle showin
g or hiding grid lines, select Style > Grid.
SolidorDashedLines
To display curre
ntly visible lines as a combina tion of solid, dashed, dotted,
and dash-dotte
d line style, select Style > Separate linestyles.
To display all s
olid lines, select Style > All solid lines. This choice is the
default.

match the color of the corresp onding data or model icon in
the System Ide
ntification To ol GUI.
Plot Redrawing
To specify tha
t the plot be redrawn when you add another data set or model
to the plot, se
lect Style > Erasemode normal. T his choice is the defa ult
setting.

wing the entire plot when you add another data set or model to
the plot, sel
ect Style > Erasemode xor. Although this selection results in
faster respo
nse, it might also produce poor plot quality.

The MATLAB Fi
gure window provides editing and printing commands for
plots that a
re not available in the System Identification Toolbox plot window.
