12 Using the System Identification Tool GUI
When you need additional spa ce for organizi n g model ico n s, select
Options > Extra model/data board in the System Identification Tool G U I.
This action opens a n ex tra session window with blank rectangle s. The n ew
window is an e xtension of the current session and do es not represent a new
session.
Tip Wh en you import or estimate models and there is ins uf ficient space for
the icons, an additional session window opens automatically.
You can drag and drop model icons between the main System Identification
Tool G UI and any extra session windows .
Type comments in the Notes field to describe the m odels . When you save a
session,asdescribedin“Saving,Merging, and Closing Sessions” on page 12-6,
all additional windows and notes are also saved.
Deleting Models in the GUI
To delete models in the System Identification Tool G UI, drag and d rop the
corresponding icon into Trash.MovingitemstoTrash does not permanently
delete these items.
