4 Nonlinear Black-Box Model Identification
In the System Identication Tool GUI. Exclude a nonlinearity for a

by specifying the
unitgain value for the InputNonli nearity or

How to Estimate Hammerstein-Wiener Models in the
GUI
You m ust have already imported your data into the System Identication Tool
GUI, as described in Chapter 1, “D ata Processing”.
To estimate a Hammerstein-Wiener model in the System Identication Tool
GUI:
1 In the System Identication Tool GUI, select Estimate > Nonlinear
models to open the N onlinear Models dialog box. The Model Type tab is
shown.
2 In the Model Structure list, select Ha mmerstein-Wiener.
This action updates the options in the Nonlinear Models dialog box to
correspond to this model structure. For information about this model
structure, see “Denition of the Hammerstein-Wiener Model” on page 4-15.
3 In the Model name eld, edit the name of the model, or keep the default
name. The name of the model should be unique to all Hammerstein-Wiener
models in the System Identication Tool GUI.
