3 Linear Model Identification
To estimate model orders for a specific input delay:
1 In the System Identification Tool GUI, select Estimate > Linear
parametric models to open the Linear Parametric Models dialog box.
2 In the Structure list, select State Space: n [n k].
3 Edit the Orders fi eld t o specify a range of orders for a specificdelay. For
example, enter the following v alues for n and nk:
1:10 [1]
Tip As a shortcut for entering 1:10 [1],clickOrder Selection.
4 Verify that the Method is set to N4SID.
