This picture shows the External Data Archiving dialog box with enabled
archiving.
Unless you select
Enable archiving, entries for the Directory and File fields
are not accepted.
Parameter Tuning
You can set parameter tuning options on the External Mode Control Panel.
The batch download check box enables/disables batch parameters changes.
When batch mode is enabled, changes made to block parameters are stored
locally and sent only after you have pressed the Download button. External
mode indicates unsent changes by a “changes pending” status message that
appears to the right of the download button. The changes pending status
indicator disappears after Simulink receives notification from the target that
the new parameters have been installed into the Real-Time Workshop
parameter vector.
If batch mode is not enabled, changes made to block parameters are sent
immediately. You can change block parameters that are MATLAB workspace
variables by modifying the variable in the MATLAB workspace and clicking
the Download parameters button.
