Converting Outp
ut Cells to Text with Notebook
You can convert a
n output c ell to text by undefining cells. If the output is
numeric or textu
al, Notebook re moves the cell markers and conve rts the cell
contents to text
according to the Microsoft Word Normal style. If the output
is graphical, N
otebook rem ov es the cell m arke rs and dissociates the graphic
from its input c
ell, but does not alter its contents.
Note Undefinin
g an output cell does not affect the associated input cell.
To undefine an o
utput cell,
1 Select the output cell you want to undefine.
2 Select Notebook > Undefine Cells or press Alt+U.
Deleting Output Cells with Notebook
To delete output cells,
1 Select an outpu
t cell, using the mouse, or place the cursor in the output cell.
2 Select Notebook > Purge Selected Output Cells or press Alt+P .
If you select a range of cells, Notebook deletes all the output cells in the
selected range, but a ny associate input cells remain intact.
