3 Using the Image Acquisition Tool GUI
See “Selecting Your Device” on page 3-5 for more information about using
the Hardware Browser.
• Preview window – U se to preview and acquire image data from the
selected device format, and to export data that has been acquired in
memory to a MAT-file or the M ATLAB Workspace. See “Previewing
and Acquiring Data” on page 3-19 for more information about using the
Preview window.
• Acqu isition Parameters – U se thes e tabs to set up general acquisition
parameters, such as frames per trigger and color space, device-specific
properties, logging options, and trig gering options. Settings you make on
any tab will apply to the currently selected device format in the Hardware
Browser. See “Setting Acquisition Parameters” on page 3-8 for more
information about using the Acquisition Parameters. Also see the Help
for each tab while usi ng th e tool for more details. When you click any tab,
the help for that tab w ill appear in the Image Acquisition Tool Help
pane.
• Information Pane – Displays a summary of information about the
selected node in the Hardware Browser.
• Image Acquisition Tool Help –DisplaysHelpforthepaneofthedesktop
that has focus. Click inside a pane for he lp on that area of the t ool. For
the Acquisition Parameters pane, click each tab to display information
about the settings for that tab.

Acqu isition Tool Help.
