Troubleshooting Matrox Devices
If you are having trouble using Image Acquisition Toolbox with a supported
Matrox frame grabber, follow these troubleshooting steps:
1 Verify that your image acquisition hardware is functioning properly.
For Matrox devices, run the application that came with your hardware,
Matrox Intellicam , and verify that you can receive live video.
2 If your hardw
are is functioning properly, verify that you are using a
hardware dev
ice driver that is compatible with the toolbox. Image
Acquisition
Toolbox is only compatible with spe cific driver versions
provided wit
h the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) or MIL-Lite software and
is not guara
nteed to work with any o the r versions.
Find out the
driver ve rsio n you are using on your sy stem. To learn how
to get this i
nformation, see “Determ ining the D riv er Version for M atro x
Devices on
page 10-18.
Verify that
the version is compatible with Im ag e Acquisition Toolbox.
For the cor
rect driver information, check the list of supporte d drivers on
the Image A
cquisition Toolbox p roduct page at the MathWorks Web site

).
If you discover that y ou are using an unsupported driver version, visit the
Matrox Web site (
www.matrox.com) to dow nload the correct drivers.
Note There is no difference betw een MIL and MIL-Lite software inside of
MATLAB.TheybothworkwithMatroxImagingdevices.
