Reported Issues Using Embedded IDE Link™ CC Software
The latest issues in the list appear at the bottom. HIL refers to “hardw are in
theloop,”alsocalledprocessorintheloop (PIL) here and in o ther applications,
and sometimes referred to as function calls.
Demonstration Programs Do Not Run Properly
Without Correct GEL Files
To run the Embedded ID E Link C C demos, you must load the appropriate
GEL files before you run the demos. For so me boards, the demos run fine
with the default CCS GEL file. Some boards need to run device-specificGEL
files for the dem os to work correctly.
Here are demos and b oards which require specificGELfile s.
• Board: C5416 DSK
Demos:

In general, if a demo does not run correctly w ith the default GEL file, try
using a device-specificGELfile by defining the file in the CCS Setup Utility.
