New Processor Dialog Box
When you click Add new on the General pane, you open this new
dialog bo x to add a new processor to the list of supported processors .
The first time you click Save to add a new processor definition to
the list of supported processors, a dialog box opens that directs you
to select a destination folder for the saved p roce ssor de finitions file
customChipInfo.dat. You must select a directory to which you have
write access. The location you specify becomes part of your M ATLA B
preferences. Future processors that you add become entries in the file
customChipInfo.dat.
To add a new processor, you mus t enter v a lues for the following
parameters:
• Name
Provide a name to identify your new processor. Any valid C string
works here. The n ame you enter in this field a ppears on the lis t of
processors after you add the new p rocessor.
• Processor C lass
Provide the class string that identifies your processor family, such as
62xx or 67xx.
• CPU clock
Enter the clock speed of the processor o n your processor in MHz.
When you enter a value, you are not se tting the CPU clock rate on
the processor. You are reporting the rate. If the value you enter does
not match the rate on the processor, your model’s real-time results
may be w rong, and code profiling results are not correct.
