Targ et Preferences
Adding the ne w processor puts the processor on the Processor
list for all Target Preferences blocks, not just this one.
The new processor and configura tion b ecome available for all
models that include a Target Preferences block.
For details about the New Process or dialog box, refer to New
Processor Dialog B ox .
Edit
Edit the configuration for the proces sor you sele ct o n the
Processor list.
Delete
Delete a processor that y ou added to the Processor list. You
cannot delete processors that you did not add.
CPU Clock Speed (MHz)
Shows the clock speed of the processor on your processo r. When
you enter a value, you are not changing the CPU clock rate. You
are reporting the actual rate. If the value you enter does not
match the rate on the processor, your mo del’s real- time results
may b e wrong, and the code profiling results are not correct.
Enter the actual clock rate the board uses. The rate you enter in
this field does not change the rate on the board. Setting CPU
clock s peed to the actual board rate allows the code you generate
to run correctly according to the actual clock rate of the hardware.
When you generate code for C6xxx processors from Simulink
software models, you may encounter the software timer. The
timer is invoked automatically to handle and create interrupts to
drive your model when either of the follow ing conditions occur:
• Your model does not include ADC or DAC blocks
• When the process ing rates in your m odel change (the m odel
is multirate)
