5 Configuring Parallel Computing Products for a Generic Schedule r
Validate Installation Using a Generic Sch eduler
Testing the installation of the parallel computing products with a g eneric
schedule r requires familiarity w ith your network c o nfiguration, with your
scheduler inte r fa ce, and with the generic sch eduler interface of Para llel
Computing Toolbox software.
Note The remainder of this chapter illustrates only the case of using LSF in
a nonshared file system. For other schedulers or a s hared file system, look
for the appropriate scripts and modify them as necessary, using the following
instructions as a guide. If you have any questions, contact the MathW orks
install support team.
Example Setup for LSF
This section provides guidelines for setting up your cluster profile to use the
generic scheduler interface with an LSF scheduler in a network without
a shared file system between the clien t the cluster machines. The scripts
necessary to set up your tes t are found in:
matlabroot/toolbox/distcomp/examples/ int egration/lsf/nonshared
These scripts are written for an L SF scheduler, but might require modification
to work in your network. The following diagram illustrates the cluster setup:
