4 Configuring Parallel Computing Products for Supported Third-Party Schedulers (PBSPro,PlatformLSF,TORQUE)
Validate Installation Using an LSF, PBS Pro, or TORQU E
Scheduler
This procedure
verifies that the parallel computing products are installed and
configured cor
rectly on your cluster.
Step 1: Define
a Cluster Profile
In this step y
ou define a cluster profile to use in subsequent steps.
1 Start the Clu
ster Profile Manager from the MATLAB desktop by selecting
Parallel > M
anage Profiles.
2 Create a new profile in the Cluster Profile Manager b y selecting
New > LSF (or PBS Pro or Torque, as appropriate).
3 With the new profile selected in the list, click Rename and edit the profile
name to be
InstallTest.PressEnter.
4 In the Pro
perties tab, provide settings for th e following fi el ds:
a Set the De
scription field to

obStorageLocation to the location where you want job and

c Set the
NumWorkers fie ld to the number of w orkers y ou want to run

idation tests on, w ithin the limitation of your l ice nsing.

e ClusterMatlabRoot to the installation location of the MATLAB
to be e
xecuted by the worker machines, as determined in Chapter 1 of
the in
stallation instructions.
e Set t
he SubmitArguments to include any additional command
argu
ments required by your particular cluster and scheduler.
f If us

HasSharedFilesystem to indicate if client and workers can share
the
same data location.
