Job Scheduler (MJS)
protocol, platform (such as in a mixed environment), or other information, see
the help for
remotemdce by typing
./remotemdce -help
Start the MJS. To start the MATLAB job scheduler (MJS), enter the
following comm ands. You do not have to be at the machine on which the MJS
runs, as long as you have access to the MDCS installation.
1 Navigate to the folder with the startup scripts:
cd matlabroot/toolbox/dis tcom p/bi n
2 Start the MJS, using any unique text you want for the name <My MJS>.
Enter this text on a single line.
./startjobmanager -name <MyMJS> -remotehost <MJS host nam e> -v
3 Verify that the MJS is running on the intended host:
./nodestatus -remotehost <MJS host nam e>
Note IfyouhavemorethanoneMJSonyourcluster,eachmusthave
auniquename.
Start the Workers.
Note Before you can start a worker on a m achine, the mdce service must
already be running on that machine, and the license manager for MATLAB
Distributed Computing Server must be running on the network.
For each computer hosting a MATLAB worker, enter the following commands.
You do not have to be at the machines where the MATLAB workers run, as
long as you have access to the MDCS installation.
