MASTERSOUND M a s t e r E m o t i o n PF 100 Limited Made in Italy
Our Philosophy Our philosophy is simple: we want to produce amplifiers which stimulate the emotions for those who enjoy music. We believe that every piece of music played through our amplifiers should arouse in the listener the same emotions as the artist who composed it and the musician who interpreted it.
Mastersound story MasterSound is an Italian company which has produced, for the past 15 years, class “A”, tube amplifiers. Our most important priority is to build equipment of the highest quality. We give the highest attention to quality in our design, our components, and our construction. Each part of our amplifier has been hand built with passion and skill. Our attention to detail will guarantee years and years of trouble free listening.
Final Mono Amplifier PF 100 Limited The PF 100 Limited is the culmination of the collective knowledge and experience of all those who work with MasterSound. The total absence of feedback makes the “PF 100” fast, with imaging that is truly amazing. Our new, dual drive control system of the “PF 100’s” pre-amp section grew from our careful research. Combined with our unique output transformer and powerful, 845 triodes working in Parallel Single Ended mode, the amplifier renders a genuinely engaging sound.
Inside We built the 845 Monoblock model with the utmost care, using only selected materials. Our product passed the stricter quality tests with excellent results and is now ready to offer You many years of pleasant listening. A new amplifier needs to be put on at low volume in order to perform at its best the musicality and high definition of sound.
Tubes installation During the transportation the tubes are kept in an appropriate box and then they must be placed in the correct position (see the photo above). The 845 tube is indicated either by letter A or B, which stand between the pins and are written on the base: that is the right place for the tube to be installed.
Rear view 1. The bias control input. 2. Holder containing a plug with incorporated fuse. 3. Three speakers connectors :one with black rings and two with red rings (8-4 ohms). 4. RCA connector for the pre-amplifier. 5. Our logo label with the serial number.
Check list To be done by the dealer: set up the amplifier with the right impedance 4/8 ohm suitable for the speakers and select the right main line according to country. The above checks are to be made inside the monoblock and shall be carried out only by qualified staff. To be done by the Purchaser: • Place the amplifier on a solid and flat surface. • Place the tubes in their correct socket positions.
Switching on of the amplifier On the front panel of the monoblock there are illuminated with a elegant blue logo. A red led flashing lights, which should go on when You switch on the amplifier, indicating the correct functioning. When the inner tensions have reached the correct level, while the red led light grows bright, the PF 100 Limited is ready to work.
Last recommendations Any change of interconnectors (cables, etc...) must be done with the amplifier switched in the off position. Never move or remove the amplifier when tubes are still hot.
