TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem Possible Causes Solution
The motor does not start
1. The tool is not connected to a
power source
1. Connect the tool to a power source
2. The lock-off button is not
depressed before squeezing the
on/off trigger switch
2. Press down the lock-off button and
hold it, then depress the trigger
switch to turn on the planer.
Planer does not plane properly
1. Blades are dull 1. Change the blades
2. Blades are not installed
correctly

The motor is overheating
Cooling vents may be obstructed
by dust or other obstacles
Clean and clear vents. Do not cover
with hand during operation
