SECTION 1. IDENTIFICATION

The product is used for furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and millwork. MDF is manufactured from
ligno-cellulosic fibres (wood matter) bonded together with a no-added formaldehyde
containing binder - polymeric MDI - (4,4'-methylenediphenyl diisocyanate (MDI)).
Note the hazards are determined based on wood dust (softwood) generated as a result of
cutting, sanding or disturbing the product. The amount of polymeric MDI present in the final
product is insignificant and below reporting thresholds.
