Clean the floor area around the
door opening. If necessary, scrape
off mortar or plaster spills

Double check the rough opening
dimensions. The rough opening
should be roughly ½" taller and
¾" wider than the outside frame
dimensions of the door unit.

Make sure the floor is level

. If the sub-floor is not
level it will adversely affect the
rest of the installation.

Remove the door handles from the door unit
(

The door unit cannot be installed until they are removed.

Your door is shipped with an installation clip at the top of
the door and a plug in the lockset location.
-Remove the 3 screws at the top of the clip but leave the clip
attached to the door.

-Leave the bore plug in place for now.

Check the opening for plumb and square. Check both walls for
plumb and all four corners for square in the rough opening. Make the
necessary corrections prior to installing the door unit

Apply three 1/4"
beads of silicone caulking
to the sub-floor of the
rough opening

Apply a bead of caulking around the
perimeter of the door sill

Apply a bead of caulk around the back-
side perimeter of the brickmould

Using two people, set the sill
into the rough opening. Center the
frame into the opening and tip
the unit into place
