Product Description

High Performance Paver Locking Sand Step 3 is a specially

formulated polymer modied joint sand for use with

pavement systems utilizing segmental concrete pavers, clay

pavers or natural stone, concrete slab joint applications, or

lling gaps between segmental retaining wall blocks. Paver

locking Sand becomes activated when combined with

water.

Installation

Install pavers over a firm, stable base used in one of the

four installation diagrams shown below. If installing Paver

Locking Sand on a non-drainage bed system, there must

be a slope to avoid water pooling on the pavers. Paver

Locking Sand is the third part of the 3-step standard

installation system when installing pavers or patio blocks.

By using Step 1 Paver Base, Step 2 Leveling Sand, and Step

3 High Performance Paver Locking Sand, you achieve the

best results. Paver surface must be dry and clean prior

to application to prevent materials from adhering to and

hardening on top of the pavers.

CONCRETE BLOCK Application Pro-Tip: Roll unopened bag on a dry surface before opening. 1. Use a broom to sweep Paver Locking Sand into paver joints. Fill joints to the paver chamfer (shoulder). 2. Compact sand into joint spaces as thoroughly as possible. The use of a small plate vibrator for compaction is recommended. 3. Carefully remove any remaining sand from paver surface prior to dampening. The best appearance is achieved by eliminating all polymeric jointing sand from surfaces.
