CONCRETE BLOCK
by
5000 PSI Concrete Mix
Menards Sku# 189-1015
For any concrete application requiring high early strength
and rapid strength gain. 5000 PSI Concrete Mix can be
used for any application requiring concrete in a minimum
thickness of 2" (51 mm):
Driveway Aprons
Sign Footings
Patios
Deck Supports
Curbs
Floors
Walk on Time of 12 Hours
Product Description
Stake out the planned area and remove sod or soil to the
desired depth. Nail and stake forms securely in place.
Tamp and compact the sub-base until rm.
5000 PSI Concrete Mix offers faster strength gain and
improved workability for concrete work exceeding 2"
thickness.
Product Use
Machine Mixing Instructions
Installation
Preparatory Work
Empty concrete bags into a suitable mixing container.
Add approximately 4.5 pints (2.1 L) of clean water for
each 60 lb (27.2 kg) bag.
Work the mix with a shovel, rake or hoe and add
water as needed until a stiff, moldable consistency is
achieved.
Be sure all material is wet. Do not leave standing
puddles.
Hand Mixing Instructions

Pre-Blended Commercial Grade
Important: Contact Digger’s Hotline before starting
any projects that involve digging.
Choose the mixer size most appropriate for the size of
the job to be done.
Add approximately 4.5 pints (2.1 L) of clean water for
each 60 lb (27.2 kg) bag and mix thoroughly.
Pro-Tip: When mixing dry packaged cements always
add powdered mixtures to water for best results.
If more water is needed to obtain a rm, workable
mix, add small amounts at a time and continue to mix
until desired consistency is achieved. Do not exceed a
total volume of 7 pints (3.3 L) of water for each 60 lb
(27.2 kg) bag.
Pro-Tip: 5000 PSI Concrete Mix has a rapid setting
time. Use hot water when mixing in severely cold
weather and cold water with ice in extremely hot
weather.
Pro-Tip: Add 3 oz of Liquid Air Entrainment to each
60 lb bag of concrete mix to improve workability, freeze
thaw resistance, and improve resistance to scaling.
