Operation via the
handset
The handset loudspeaker activates auto-
matically if you receive an acoustic prompt
or message while operating the answering
machine. You can switch it off with the
speaker key d.
Activating/deactivating the
answering machine
§§Menu§§ ¢Voice Mail ¢ Answerphone
q Select On and press §OK§. Select
Off to deactivate the answering
machine.
Playing back messages
Message indication
The message f key flashes as soon as a
new message arrives in a the list.
In idle status, the display shows a symbol for
the new message.
Playing back new messages
To play back all messages and memos:
 Press and hold this key.
Or:
f Press the message key and press
§OK§.
Or:
§§Menu§§ ¢Voice Mail ¢ Play Messages
If there are new messages, playback begins
with the first new message. After the last
new message you will hear the end tone and
an announcement.
Adjust volume during message playback:
§Options§ Press the display key.
s Select Volume and press §OK§.
r Select the desired volume and
press
§OK§.
Playing back old messages
You can listen to old messages if there are no
more new messages. Begin playback as
described under "Playing back new mes-
sages".
q Use the control key to select the
message you want to be played
back.
After the entry time and date have been
played back (after approx. 3 seconds) a new
message assumes the status "old".
Stopping and controlling playback
During message playback:
a Press the end key to stop play-
back.
When the answerer
machine is activated,
the à symbol is
displayed at the top
of the screen.
The LED lights up on
the base
(

The number of
new messages/
memos is dis-
played under the
corresponding
symbol.
