Helpful Hints
1. While the motor is running, ingredients can be added, with care, through the Filler Cap opening in the center of
the Lid. When processing hot ingredients do not add ingredients through the Filler Cap.
2. To crush ice, place the ice cubes into the Jar. Close the Lid and place on the Blender Base. Press and release the
Pulse Switch. Repeat until the desired consistency is reached. Add a little water through the Filler Cap opening
for a slushier consistency.
Care and Cleaning
Before first and aer each subsequent use, follow the directions in the Regular Cleaning section.
Regular Cleaning
Jar
To keep your Blender running smoothly the Blender Jar must be cleaned aer each use. To clean your Blender Jar
follow these simple steps:
1. Fill the Jar with 4 cups (1L) of water and add 2 drops of liquid dishwashing soap.
2. Secure the lid tightly on the Jar and flip the Pulse switch intermittently or rotate the speed control to the lowest
setting and slowly increase the speed to maximum. Run at this speed for 30-60 seconds.
3. Empty Jar then rinse with water.
4. Aer allowing the Jar to dry, your Power Blender is ready to use!
Hint: Don’t allow food to dry inside the Jar. Soak the Blender Jar in water aer use to keep your Jar looking new.
For a more thorough cleaning, follow the instructions below:
1. Blend the juice of one lemon, 1 tbsp. (15 ml) of baking soda and 2 cups (500 ml) of water.
2. Remove Jar from the Base and use the scrubbing side of a non-scratch dish sponge to scrape out food stuck on
the sides of the Blender Jar.
Warning: Exercise extreme caution when handling the Jar, the Blades are very sharp.
