The PI Delta provides an audible and visual alert to important changes in
perfusion compared to the patient’s baseline PI rate. The baseline is set
by the Radical-7 once the user has enabled the alarm. The baseline is 30
seconds of currently averaged PI. The feature includes a user-selectable PI
Delta Alarm. This allows the clinician to request an audible and visual
alarm if perfusion at the monitored site decreases by a specified level
(delta) over a specified window of time. Three of the variables are
selectable by the user within established ranges as noted in
PI Delta
Settings
on page 160.
