3. CAT5e/CAT6 CABLE REQUIREMENTS
x UTP-, FTP- or STP-cable
x 24AWG or lower
x Solid twisted pair
x 100 ohm at 1MHz
x RJ-45 jack according to EIA/TIA T568B standard
Instead of CAT5e cable, CAT6 cable may also be applied (this offers better quality).

4. INSTALLATION
In order to check proper functioning of the system, it is advisable to test the set-up
first, using a short CAT-5e/6 cable.
1. Switch off all appliances before you start connecting.
2. Connect the HDMI source (Blu-ray disc player, TV Decoder, Media Centre PC,
etc.) to the MegaView 65/66™ transmitter [1], using an HDMI cable (not
provided).
3. Connect the MegaView 65/66™ receiver to the appliance shown [2] (e.g. HDTV
or projector), using an HDMI cable (not provided).
4. Use one CAT5e/6 Ethernet cable to connect the MegaView 65/66™ transmitter
to the receiver [3].
Attention! The MegaView 65/66™ cannot be connected to an existing home network
(LAN), this may cause damage to the device.
5. Connect the power adapter [4] to the ‘5VDC’ connection on the MegaView
65/66™ and plug the adapter into a socket.
Attention! Do not place the MegaView 65/66™ transmitter or receiver in an
enclosed space, such as a TV cabinet or equivalent. Provide adequate ventilation to
ensure that the product is functioning properly and to protect against overheating.
