Description
(U01) User Area
The User Area menu allows you to have a user area in a file
name. The User Area is assigned in a top of a file name.
For example, if the User Area is “abcdefghijklm”, the file is
numbered “abcdefghijklm_070312_MZ001.wav”.
1. From stop, press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button
while pressing the SHIFT button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel until “User Area” is displayed.
3. Press the Jog wheel.
On or Off will flash.
4. Press the Jog wheel.
The first character of the User area will flash.
5. Turn the Jog wheel to select the character.
Following characters can be used.
“A” to “Z”, “a” to “z”, “0” to “9”, “-“, “ “, “.”, “_”
Notes:
“ “(space) and “.”(dot) cannot be used at the top of the User
Area.
Select the space character to end the User Area.
6. When correct, press the Jog wheel.
The next position will flash.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 until all User Area characters are
correct.
When the space character is selected, the display
returns to the File name ID, so proceed to step 7.
Press the SHIFT button and then press the Jog wheel to
delete the characters. Pressing the SHIFT button again
enables you to insert characters.
7. After editing, Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
The display returns to the User Area.
8. Turn the Jog wheel to select other Menu choices.
Press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button to store
the changes, or press the STOP/CANCEL button to
exit Utility mode without making any changes.
Display returns to stop mode.
