(S19) Auto Deletion
The auto deletion process will run in the background while
recording. The PMD580 will delete recorded files when free
space is getting low.
The PMD580 checks if free CF space is less than 30 sec
or not. The physical free byte will depend on the recording
format. When the PMD580 detect less than free space, the
PMD580 will search oldest file. If the archived oldest file is
found, the PMD580 will delete it. If the file is not found, the
unit will stop recording with error.

1. From stop, press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel so Auto Deletion is displayed.
3. While Auto Deletion is displayed, press the Jog
wheel. The On or Off will be flashing.
4. Turn the Jog wheel to toggle between On and Off.
5. When correct, press the Jog wheel.
The display returns to Auto Deletion.
6. Press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button to save
your changes.
Display returns to stop mode.
(S20) Default
The Default menu choice resets all menu items to their
defaults. This is handy if you are setting up a new setting
configuration because you don’t have to check all the
settings, you know they are at the default.
1. From stop, press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel so Default is displayed.
3. While Default is displayed, press the Jog wheel. The
Ok will be flashing.
4. Press the Jog wheel.
Executing will be displayed for a couple of seconds
while the default is being written.
Completed will be displayed for a second.
Display returns to stop mode.
