(S13) Password
The Password menu allows you to set the password to access
to the PMD580 while the user use the Web remote function in
the user’s computer.
Item Description
Password 0 to 9, A to Z, a to z, 6 to 12 characters
1. From stop, press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel until “Password” is displayed.
3. Press the Jog wheel while Password is displayed.
“New” is displayed, and the first character of the
password (blank) will flash.
4. Turn the Jog wheel to select a position and press
the Jog wheel.
5. Turn the Jog wheel to select the characters.
6. When correct, press the Jog wheel.
The next position will flash.
Repeat steps from 4 to 6 until all password characters
are correct.
Press the SHIFT button and then press the Jog wheel to
delete the characters. Pressing the SHIFT button again
enables you to insert characters.
7. Press the PLAY/PAUSE button.
8. Turn the Jog wheel to select a position and press
the Jog wheel.
9. Turn the Jog wheel to select the characters.
10. When correct, press the Jog wheel.
The next position will flash.
Repeat steps from 8 to 10 until all password characters
are correct.
Press the SHIFT button and then press the Jog wheel to
delete the characters. Pressing the SHIFT button again
enables you to insert characters.
11. Press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button to save the
changes, or press the STOP/CANCEL button to exit
MENU mode without saving any changes.
12. Display returns to stop mode.
Notes:
The input word will not be displayed.
The password input is required twice.
“New” is displayed during the first password input.
“Re” is displayed during the second password input.
“Invalid” will be displayed if the second word is different
from the first one.
