(P04) Single mode
Single mode set the operation after completing the playback
of a track in single playback mode.

Stop
Next Default
Recue
Stop:
The PMD580 returns to stop mode after the track has played.
Next:
The PMD580 advances to the next track and waits in cue
mode.
Recue:
The PMD580 returns to the beginning of the current track and
waits in cue mode.
1. From stop, press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel so Single Mode is displayed.
3. While Single Mode is displayed, press the Jog
wheel. The Stop, Next or Recue will be flashing.
4. Turn the Jog wheel to toggle among Stop, Next and
Recue.
5. When correct, press the Jog wheel.
The display returns to Single Mode.
6. If you are done making Menu changes to the Preset,
press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button to save
your changes.
Display returns to stop mode.
(P05) Auto Cue
Auto Cue skips the silence at the beginning of an audio track
and pauses playback at the point where the audio begins
(sound is loud enough).
You can adjust how loud (dB’s) the audio has to be before
playback is cued.
Selection Range Note
On/Off Off (Default)
–60 dB - –20 dB
5 dB steps
–40 dB (Default)
1. From stop press the MENU/STORE/UTILITY button.
2. Turn the Jog wheel so Auto Cue is displayed.
3. While Auto Cue is displayed, press the Jog wheel.
The On or Off will be flashing.
4. Turn the Jog wheel to toggle between On and Off.
5. When correct, press the Jog wheel. The display
switches to -dB flashing.
6. Turn the Jog wheel to tab through the sound level
choices (–20 through –60 dB in 5 dB steps). When
correct, press the Jog wheel. The display returns to
Auto Cue.
Display returns to stop mode.
Note:
You can press the STOP/ CANCEL button to cancel all
changes at any point before completing step 6.
