Connecting a wireless receiver (RX101) Basic version By connecting a wireless receiver RX101 (sold separately) to this unit, you can receive and playback audio signals from other devices using the Bluetooth Communication Function. • Use a Bluetooth device that is A2DP compatible (vpage 125 “A2DP”). • You can also use wireless receiver RX101 as an external IR receiver. • For instructions on the wireless receiver settings, refer to the RX101’s operating instructions.

Here, we explain “Audyssey® Auto Setup”, which allows you to automatically make the optimal settings for your speakers, and “Network Setup”, which allows you to connect this unit to a home network (LAN). This unit lets you play via your home network (LAN) music files stored on a computer and music content such as that from Internet radio.
Set up speakers (Audyssey® Auto Setup) Set up the microphone Mount the setup microphone on a tripod or stand and place it in the main listening position. When placing the setup microphone, adjust the height of the sound receptor to the level of the listener’s ear. Connect Basic version Front A/B connection You can connect a second set of speakers to this unit and use them for playback. In this case, perform the settings using the SPEAKER A/B (vpage 23 “Set the front speakers to be used”). Advanced version For surround playback of a multichannel source, if you connect the center speaker, surround speakers and subwoofers, 5.1-channel playback is available.

Connect Basic version Bi-Amp connection You can use the front speakers via the bi-amp connection. A bi-amp connection is to connect separate amplifiers to the tweeter terminals and woofer terminals of speakers compatible with the bi-amp function. This prevents the back electromotive force (returned force without output) of the woofer sent to the tweeter, which affects the sound quality of the tweeter, and you can enjoy playback with higher-quality sound.

q You can control other marantz products through this unit with the remote control unit by connecting the Basic version REMOTE CONTROL connectors on each unit. • The signal transmitted from the remote control unit is received by the remote sensor on this unit. Then the signal is sent to the connected device through REMOTE CONTROL connector. Therefore you need to aim the remote control only at the this unit.
