Specifications
Supports HDMI control function
(CEC) and HDMI standby pass-through
Supports Consumer Electronics Control
(CEC), which uses an HDMI connection
with an HDMI control function supporting
AV amplifier to connect to the television or
player and linking the power control and input
selection operations. The television’s remote
controller can also be used to adjust the
AV amplifier sound volume. The HDMI input
signal from the player can be passed through
to the television even when the AV amplifi er is
in standby mode.
*This operation may not work depending on the connected
devices and settings.
Audyssey MultEQ/ Audyssey MultEQ XT
All models are equipped with Audyssey MultEQ,
which performs automatic setup a special
microphone. This function automatically sets the
optimum conditions for the speaker distance,
level, and subwoofer crossover frequency. It
further measures and analyzes the acoustical
qualities of the connected speakers and the
listening room and then corrects both the
time axis and the frequency characteristics
to optimize the listening room acoustics.
Audyssey MultEQ
XT can measure
a maximum of 8
positions to achieve
higher accuracy
correction and a
correction fi lter with
higher resolution
is used.
Supports 3D video transmission for
realistic experience
The 3D video signal input from a Blu-ray
disc player, video game console, computer,
or other device can be output to a television
that supports 3D display. For the signal
format, frame packing that records full HD
video each for the right and left eyes utilizing
the Blu-ray 3D standard is used, and the
side-by-side or top-and-bottom format is
used for broadcast contents. Combining with
high-definition surround sound with excellent
spatial expression gives the video the feeling
of depth expected from 3D viewing so that
users can enjoy a more realistic experience.
Supports the 4K next-generation video standard
and employs advanced digital technologies
for ultra high-resolution video and high-quality sound
High-quality video circuit supports
ultra high-resolution 4K video
The 4K video provides high-resolution viewing
at 3840 x 2160 pixels (horizontal x vertical),
which is twice the resolution of 1920 x 1080
pixel full HD vision. Marantz products are
equipped with the latest high-performance
video processor that fully supports the 4K
video standard.
Video converter function converts
analog video signals to digital for
HDMI output
The video converter function converts
component input and analog video signals from
composite input to digital for output from an
HDMI. All the video signals can be output to the
television using one HDMI cable.
ARC supported using one HDMI cable
Playback of television audio using an AV
amplifier conventionally requires the television
and AV amplifi er be connected using an optical
digital or other cable, but by supporting Audio
Return Channel (ARC) the television audio can
be sent to the AV amplifi er via the HDMI cable.

■
Upscale standard resolution video to a 4K
The SD/HD standard video signal can be
upscaled to a 4K (3840×2160 pixel) signal.
Both standard video and full HD video can
be converted to 4K ultra high-resolution and
transmitted to a 4K display. Further, the latest
4K compliant video processor provides high
performance when upscaling to an HD video
signal (1920×1080 pixels). For example, you
will enjoy higher resolution than before when
watching DVD with a full HD television.
■
Pass-through function sends unaltered 4K
signals directly to 4K compliant displays
These units are equipped with an HDMI
terminal that supports 4K signal input, so the
4K signal can be sent unaltered to a 4K display
when source equipment that supports 4K is
introduced in the future.
■
GUI can be overlay displayed on 4K signals
The GUI (Graphical User Interface) has been
upgraded to a new version that supports
overlay display when passing through or
upscaling to 4K video signals so you can
comfortably operate the unit while watching
with a 4K display.
