The “Marantz Remote App” for iOS has been
updated to Version 3.0 and an Android version
released. This application lets you use tap and
flick operations on the touch panel of your
iPod touch/iPhone or Android devices to select
tracks, adjust the volume, switch input, and
choose the sound mode. You can also browse
the contents in a DLNA server or quickly scroll
through a list of Internet radio stations. This
application can also be used to operate a
Marantz Blu-ray Disc Player or CD Player when
connected via the Marantz Remote Bus (RC-5).
Supports AirPlay for
streaming of iTunes library
AirPlay allows you to use wireless transmission
to enjoy streaming the music libraries from iPod
touch, iPhone, and iPad. The iTunes libraries in a
Windows or Mac computer can be played back
via a network in the same way. You can enjoy
a more realistic sound if you use multi-channel
playback to listen to the music or live albums
you have been listening to with headphones or
computer speakers. The amplifi er volume can also
be adjusted from an iOS device or iTunes, and
play, pause, and skip can also be performed at
the amplifi er. Convenient operations include being
able to display the information and artwork for the
currently playing track on the television screen.
You can also stream the audio of applications that
support AirPlay of iOS devices to let you creatively
expand the way you enjoy music.
