Discrete power amplifi ers
All channels of the Marantz AV Amplifier/AV
Receiver are equipped with a discrete power
amplifier. The discrete configuration reduces
distortion and improves the S/N ratio. Further,
multiple power amplifi ers are mounted on a large
heat sink to improve heat dissipation effi ciency
to suppress variance between channels and
achieve well linked surround playback.

70% Guarantee
A powerful power supply circuit employing a
large EI core transformer and high-capacity
block capacitor along with the low-impedance,
minimum length circuit provide suffi cient power
to handle even large outputs. Output of over
70% of the rated output is possible even when
simultaneously driving 5 channels. This ensures
enough power for impressive audio playback
of mind-blowing action scenes in movies and
energized encores during live concerts.

HDAM
The Marantz AV Amplifier/AV Receiver is
equipped with the HDAM high-speed voltage
amplifier module that has earned praise in
the Hi-Fi amplifiers. Discrete components are
mounted at high density on a small circuit board
to improve resistance to noise and shorten the
signal path to achieve high-fi delity transmission
and amplification performance. Further, the
high slew rate and high S/N far exceed that of a
high-speed op-amp.

Current Feedback Preamp Circuit
The current feedback preamp circuit provides
excellent responsiveness and low-noise
characteristics. Ensuring a dynamic range
across a broad spectrum boosts the
performance of the CD audio and fully brings
out the potential of Super Audio CDs.

Clock jitter reduction circuit
The high-performance clock jitter reduction
circuit reduces the clock jitter, which has a
major impact on the D/A conversion accuracy
of digital audio signals. An accurate master
clock, bit clock and word clock are supplied
for the audio DSP and audio DAC by re-clocking
with a hybrid PLL and reducing jitters of
input signals. This results in drastically less
distortion and expanded dynamic range.
