Front HDMI & USB Input
HDMI input is equipped on the front panel.
Easily connect a wide range of HDMI
output-supported devices such as a video
camera, smart phone, or game console. The
unit also has USB port supporting digital
connection with iPod/iPhone. Readily enjoy
the music stored in iPod/iPhone or USB
memory in high quality sound.

All 7 channels are equipped with a discrete
power amplifier of the same quality. The
discrete configuration reduces distortion and
improves the S/N ratio. The 7 power amplifi ers
are mounted inline on the heat sink. This
suppresses the variation in characteristics
caused by a heat difference among channels
and achieves surround reproduction with
good continuity. Although the NR1603 has
been given a space-saving design, it can still
powerfully drive the speakers at a maximum
output of 80 W (6
Ω).

The NR1603 comes with a wide range of functions
for enjoying a variety of music, such as AirPlay for
streaming the libraries of iPod touch, iPhone, iPad,
and iTunes with high sound quality, Internet radio
and DLNA1.5 compliant network audio functions.
This model is also equipped with a USB port on
the front for digital connections with iPod, and
iPhone and with M-XPort (Marantz-extension Port)
for connecting to the RX101 Bluetooth receiver
(sold separately) to allow you to enjoy music fi les
stored in a variety of devices.
