Sub-display on the inside of the front door
The inside of the front door is equipped
with a sub-display that shows more detailed
information, such as the input signal format
and the surround sound mode. The dual
display achieves both functionality and a
simple, stylish design.
Port Hole Design—A traditional
Marantz design motif
A round display showing the input function and
sound volume are located in the center of the
front panel. This feature is the descendant of the
power meter of the Model 9 monaural power
amplifier that was first sold in the 1960’s and
is still legendary today, and thus the Port Hole
Design has become one of the Marantz design
identity features. A ring shines a modern blue
color when the power is turned on.
Hi-Fi quality construction
The AV7701 features an audio-grade large
capacity EI core transformer for clean and
ample power supply. The shield case shuts out
foreign noise while controlling magnetic flux
leakage from the transformer to other circuits.
The HDAM pre-amplifi er's power circuit is made
of a Hi-Fi audio-grade electrolytic capacitor
and other high quality parts carefully selected
through meticulous listening tests. The result is
a lifelike sound stage that users can almost see
with their own eyes.
Current feedback preamp circuit with
HDAM high-speed amplifi er module
Marantz proprietary HDAM (Hyper Dynamic
Amplifier Module) offers better dynamics and
S/N ratio. AV7701 further enhances sound
quality by delicately handling audio signals
via HDAM and current feedback technology.
By having made power amplifier separate,
the transformer of this pre-amplifier is
capable to supply more stable and better
quality of power to the internal circuits. It
results further improvement of spatial and
fine detail sound reproduction.
2 HDMI outputs simultaneously + Multi
zone HDMI output
Apart from main zone's 2 HDMI outputs, the
AV7701 has one more HDMI Zone 2 output
which also supports 4K pass-through.
Wherever in living room or bedroom, you can
enjoy high quality video content everywhere,
for example, even when watching CATV
in the main zone, an HDMI video source,
such as Blu-ray, can be played back at
the same time in the multi zone. Moreover,
main zone's dual HDMI support HD video
output simultaneously, switching between
flat display TV and video projector become
easy. Thanks to built-in video up-scaling
processor, composite and component video can
be up-converted to one signal HDMI output.
The employed 7 HDMI inputs are supporting
3D video pass-through, HDMI CEC, Deep
Color, “x.v.Color” and Auto Lip Sync.
