The SR5005 provides 7x 100W rms, has decoders for standard as well as Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio,

and comes with four HDMI 1.4a inputs – making it immediately ready for 3D video. It easily handles the most

demanding of scenes in action films, as well as offering excellent-quality music playback, thanks to the advanced

Marantz audio technologies. To ensure you get the best possible audio from compressed files on iPod via USB, the

SR5005 incorporates the M-DAX2 – Marantz Dynamic Expander version2. This neat little addition also optimises

the quality of MP3 files from either CD or the optional Bluetooth receiver RX101. Everything sounds clearer, more

detailed, and more alive. To finish off, the SR5005 comes with a whole host of convenience features such as “auto

set-up” with Audyssey MultiEQ and Dynamic Volume, multiroom with multi-source flexibility, and “video-off” mode

to ensure you enjoy your movies and music in true dynamic Marantz style. What’s more all analogue and HDMI

video sources can be up-scaled to 1080p via the Anchor Bay ABT1030 processor.

Some people (or their partners) just don’t want a big box in their living room. That’s why Marantz created a slim-line

AV Receiver. Which means now you can enjoy fabulous ear-cracking sound from an elegant slim-line box: the

NR1601. But don’t let appearances deceive you, this super-slim model packs as much punch as its big brothers,

thanks to the discrete 7x 50W rms output and it creates a tidal wave of multichannel surround sound. On the video

side, the four HDMI 1.4a inputs all support 3D video, while all analogue video signals are converted to HDMI level

including I/P conversion. The set-up is easy - with the help of Audyssey MultEQ and Microphone - no need to study

the manual, just follow the on-screen menu instructions. And, just like its bigger brothers, the NR1601 has an

iPod-digital-compatible USB input, as well as an M-DAX2 to make the very most of sound quality from compressed

audio. It all adds up to easy to use slim-line elegance with a powerful punch.

The second slim-line AV Receiver in this year’s line-up also offers a host of connectivity options. The NR1501 has

on-board decoders for both standard and high-definition audio such as DTS-HD and Dolby TrueHD, while its four

HDMI 1.3a inputs handle a multitude of digital sources, so you can easily hook-up your satellite box, BD/DVD player,

game console and camcorder… all at the same time. With just one HDMI cable connected to your screen. Fans of

portable media players like iPods will love the front audio input for easy connection. The 7x 50W can be used for a

simple stereo set-up but is also powerful enough to run a full 7.1 system, creating spectacular surround sound and

converting your living room into a sensational cinema. MRAC auto set-up using a microphone makes installation

fast and easy - even for non-technical users. It all adds up to fabulous sound, great video quality and elegant

Now you can wirelessly send music stored on mobile phones (iPhone / iPod touch / iPad) or PCs supporting the

Bluetooth standard A2DP, directly to your Marantz product – thanks to the new RX101 Bluetooth Module. It simply

connects to the M-XPort and directs signals to your AV Receiver, Network Audio Player or System. And since the

M-XPort also powers the module, no additional power adaptor is required. Check out the specifications section at

the back of this catalogue to see which products have the M-XPort to connect the RX101.
