AUDIO SETUP
Setting Dolby Digital signal output.
To set how Dolby Digital signal (digital audio) is output depending
on your digital equipment.
1. Press 9 button o/x to stop the player.
2. Press SETUP button !0 to display the main menu.
3. With Cursor buttons !1/., select “AUDIO SETUP”.
4. Press ENTER button @4/,. The below is displayed on TV.

5. With Cursor(3 / 4) buttons !1/., select “DIGITAL OUT”.
6. Press Cursor (2) button !1/..
7. With Cursor(3 / 4) buttons !1/., select how digital signal is
output.
• You can select from SPDIF/STREAM, SPDIF/PCM.
SPDIF/STREAM: Set here if your digital equipment can
handle with Dolby Digital signal.
SPDIF/PCM:
Set here if your digital equipment
cannot handle with Dolby Digital signal.
Dolby Digital signal is converted to
linear PCM signal then it is output.
8. Press ENTER button @4/, to confirm it.
9. Press SETUP button !0 to quit the setup menu.
Dynamic range compression setup
For discs recorded in Dolby Digital format, audio dynamic range
(the range between the smallest and the biggest sound)
compression ratio can be changed depending on volume level.
If the compression is set On, you can hear small sound much
clearer.
Caution
For discs not recorded in Dolby Digital format, this function
has no effect.
1. Press 9 button o/x to stop the player.
2. Press SETUP button !0 to display the main menu.
3. With Cursor buttons !1/., select “AUDIO SETUP”.
4. Press ENTER button @4/,. The below is displayed on TV.

5. With Cursor(3 / 4) buttons !1/., select “AUDIO DRC”.
6. Press Cursor (2) button !1/..
7. With Cursor(3 / 4) buttons !1/., select either dynamic
range compression on or off.
• You can select from ON or OFF.
OFF: Dynamic range compression ratio is set normal.
ON: Dynamic range compression ratio is set
maximum. You can hear small sound much
clearer.
8. Press ENTER button @4/, to confirm it.
9. Press SETUP button !0 to quit the setup menu.
