EON (ENHANCED OTHER NETWORK) SEEK
The EON gives information from an other network of RDS.
Information, such as TA (Traffic Announcement), PTY, etc., can
be obtained from other stations. This unit has a special function
for this EON data, as follows:
[Features of EON function]:
This feature automatically changes playing function from CD
(for example) to tuner when the desired programme (NEWS or
TA) is received by the tuner.
For example, if while listening to a CD, the tuner receives
NEWS or a traffic announcement program, this unit will change
its playing function from CD to tuner automatically. When the
program is finished, the playing function will return to CD.
1. Press TUNER button w/n to turn into tuner mode.
2. Press MODE button @6/⁄1 3 times to turn into RDS mode.

3. Turn the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to select the EON RDS Mode.
4. Press the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to set the EON RDS mode.
EON RDS mode is set, and the display is changed to select
a station that receives the TA/NEWS information.
5. Turn the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to select a station which is the
present station or another station to be received.
6. Press the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to a station.
When the present station is selected, "EON NEWS" is
displayed.
When another station is selected, "EON SEEK" is
displayed.

7-1. To set EON SEEK on the present station.
Turn the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to select a following information;
NEWS, TA, NEWS/TA or OFF.
If you select the "OFF", EON SEEK function is cancelled.
Note:
The present station must have the RDS information to set
the EON SEEK function.
7-2. To set EON SEEK on another station
This unit starts the search to find a station which has the
EON information. When a station which has EON
information is found out, "EON NEWS" is displayed and the
search stops.
Turn the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to confirm a following information;
NEWS, TA, NEWS/TA or OFF.
If you select the "OFF", EON SEEK function is cancelled.
8.
Press the MULTI JOG dial ⁄4 to confirm the EON information.
The desired program name lights up in the display (the
NEWS or TA or NEWS and TA segments).
