network or Internet. The UD7006 can give you this universality because it’s not only a Blu-ray player offering the full

BD-Live specification, it is also DLNA 1.5-certified, and soon a software update will be available to give you immediate

access to YouTube. To ensure the best of audio quality, it includes a special decoder for HD sound formats and uses a

32-Bit audio DAC with 7.1 analogue channel-out. The audio stage uses specially customized components and the unit

can even play the high-resolution SACDs via the fast loading mechanism. Standard DVDs get a quality boost too – thanks

to Anchor Bay’s ABT 2015 VRS™ video processing, which outputs 1080p from standard material via the HDMI 1.4 port,

as well as supporting 3D video content. But as with all Marantz players, musicality reigns supreme so you won’t be

surprized when you find a “Pure Direct” mode, to ensure the best possible performance from CDs.
