The SR5006 also features the famous Marantz circular display, and it has the same networking facilities for audio
streaming, Internet radio, and AirPlay from your iPhone, iPad or iPod. It also includes decoders for standard audio as
well as for Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. And, it comes with no less than six HDMI 1.4 inputs – making it
immediately ready for 3D video and ARC (Audio Return Channel) from ARC-compatible TV sets. It easily handles the
most demanding of scenes in action films, as well as offering excellent-quality music playback, thanks to the latest
Marantz audio technologies. To ensure you get the best possible audio with compressed files from iPod via USB, the
SR5006 offers 7x 100W rms and incorporates the M-DAX2 – Marantz Dynamic Expander version2. This neat little
addition also optimises the quality of MP3 files from either CD or the optional Bluetooth Receiver RX101. Everything
sounds clearer, more detailed, and more alive. To finish off, the SR5006 comes with a whole range of convenience
features such as: Setup Wizard, “auto calibration” with Audyssey MultiEQ and Dynamic Volume Control; “Multi-Room”
with multi-source flexibility; and “video-off” mode to ensure you enjoy your music and your movies in true dynamic

So Marantz created a slim-line AV Receiver. But don’t let appearances deceive you, this super-slim model packs the same
punch as its bigger brothers, delivering ear-cracking seven channel surround sound from its 7x 50W rms output. It also
boasts the same networking facilities for audio streaming, Internet radio, AirPlay from your iPhone, iPad or iPod, as well
as incorporating an iPod-digital-compatible USB input and an M-DAX2 to make the very most of sound quality from
compressed audio. On the video side, the four HDMI 1.4 inputs all support 3D video and ARC (Audio Return Channel)
from ARC-compatible TV sets, while all analogue video signals are converted to HDMI level including I/P conversion.
In addition, set-up is easy - with the help of the Setup Wizard, Audyssey MultEQ and Microphone – so there’s is no
need to study the manual, just follow the on-screen instructions. It all adds up to easy-to-use slim-line elegance with

As a five-channel slim-line AV Receiver, the NR1402 also offers a host of connectivity options. Fans of portable media
players like iPods will love the front audio input for easy connection. The 5x 50W output can be used for a simple stereo
set-up but is also powerful enough to run a full 5.1 system, creating spectacular surround sound and converting your
living room into a sensational cinema. If your demand is even higher, the system can be extended to a 7.1 system via
the pre-out for surround back speakers. You will also be pleased about the easy set-up - with the help of the Setup
Wizard, Audyssey MultEQ and Microphone there is no need to study the manual, just follow the on-screen instructions.
In addition, the NR1402 has separate on-board decoders for both standard and high-definition audio such as DTS-HD
and Dolby TrueHD, while its four HDMI 1.4 inputs handle a multitude of digital sources, so you can easily hook-up your
satellite box, BD/DVD player, game console and camcorder… all at the same time. All with just one HDMI cable
connected to your screen. It all adds up to fabulous sound, great video quality and elegant slim-line appearance.
