Manual

Like message screens, menu screens are capable of:
displaying text and characters from the extended character set
sending the screen contents to a printer for hard copy
displaying one line of horizontal scrolling text up to 128 characters long
displaying blinking characters
displaying for a preset length of time from 1 to 255 seconds
beeping on display for two seconds
help screens are available.
Unlike message screens, menu screens are incapable of:
displaying register monitors
chaining to message screens
displaying the current time and/or date from the OIT’s real time clock
Once a menu is displayed on the OIT screen, the OIT operator can branch to another screen
by simply pressing the numeric key that has been associated with that screen. The OIT opera
-
tor can go back to the menu screen by simply pressing the Last Message key.
Note: The Setup menus cannot be accessed by pressing the Setup key when a menu is
displayed and the #7 key is being used to branch to another screen.
Help Screens
A help screen is additional text that the OIT programmer feels may be useful to further ex-
plain information that is on the primary screen. Help screens can be created for message,
menu, and recipe screens, but not alarm screens. Help screens can also be used to help over-
come the limitations imposed by the size of the OIT display screens.
Like message screens, help screens are capable of:

displaying blinking characters.

When a screen is configured to display a help screen, pressing the Help key allows the OIT
operator to see the help screen. The help screen will remain on the display while the Help key
is being pressed. Once the Help key is released, the prior screen reappears on the display. If
the Help key is pressed for a screen that is not configured with a help screen, then an error
message indicating that no help screen is available for this message is briefly displayed.
